About Dr. Rai
Dr. Ritika Rai is a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist at SkyMed Hospital, with a special interest in high-risk pregnancy, infertility and minimal access (laparoscopic) gynaecological surgery.
She completed her MBBS at Basaveshwara Medical College and Hospital, Chitradurga, followed by MS in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Motilal Nehru Medical College, Prayagraj, and DNB in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. She also holds a Fellowship in Minimal Access Surgery (F.MAS) from the World Association of Laparoscopic Surgeons, World Laparoscopy Hospital, Gurugram.
Her clinical work covers the full range of women's health: antenatal care and fetal monitoring, obstetric and gynaecological emergencies, routine screening and diagnostic procedures, and major and minor surgery including caesarean section, hysterectomy and laparoscopic procedures. She has presented research at the National FOGSI Conference and published on maternal outcomes in sepsis and in Rh-negative pregnancy.
Dr. Rai places emphasis on clear explanation and shared decision-making, so that patients understand their options at every stage of pregnancy and treatment.
